supabase recovery and off-service logical backups — a decision guide

Start by writing down the required artifact and restore operator. Provider recovery behavior, retention, and account access can change, so current provider documentation and the team's contract are the authority for those facts.

Walwarden supports scheduled logical backups of Supabase Postgres to a configured customer-owned S3 destination. The product can sign a Manifest, append workflow events to a hash-chained Audit chain, export Evidence, and hand an operator a CLI restore path using a presigned S3 read.

Walwarden does not provide point-in-time recovery or second-by-second rewind. If that is the requirement, evaluate the provider capability directly. If the requirement is Walwarden's logical-backup and operator-run restore workflow, validate that workflow and its generated artifact separately.

The roadmap keeps current support, planned work, and excluded claims in separate sections. /proof publishes one static demo Evidence bundle; its publication date is metadata, not a freshness or health signal.
